<3 to strategy RPGs
Trying to beat Fire Emblem [The Blazing Sword] a third time on Hard difficulty. It's not going well... I'm on the chapter where you fight Linus' axe-wielding brother... Forgot his name. So I put it aside for another day. Meh.
So I switch to Tactics Ogre...
I'm a sucker for RPGs. I love Strategy RPGs even more. That's why today, I'm writing of my travels in...
"An Excerpt from the Ogre Battle Saga: The Knight of Lodis"
I've just (re)started the game. I'm still in the beginnings of Chapter One.
* * * * *
"Would you like to have your fortune read?"
"We don't have time for that right now."
Says who? The knight gets his fortune read...
"Everyone seeks hints to the future, even if those hints influence their path."
I name the knight the default. He was born on Flama 11.
The answers you select for the questions influence the items and troops you receive, but also your element. Depending on whatever value you get, you receive certain emblems. My answers netted me an automatic Emblem of Arbitration. This emblem makes the beginning of the game easier, as I can persuade enemies. Persuaded enemies = More troops.
Yay for previously known knowledge!
Anyway, I breeze through the first four battles, fight the side battle to get Glycinia, and get Nubida Chronology as a spoil in the fourth battle. I go to quest mode only to find that the enemies are lvl 15 - 20, and that's there's no way lvl 3 - 6 characters can lay the smackdown on them. Meh. Oh well. On with the story...
